Situated in a side street just off the main street of Roccaraso, the family-run Hotel Iris has been welcoming guests for many years. The shops, bars and restaurants of Roccaraso are a short walk away and for guest convenience there is a hotel shuttle to the ski lifts and amenities at Roccaraso’s ski base area of Pizzalto.
The spacious reception and lounge area leads to the bright dining room where all meals are taken. There are 4 floors of guests bedrooms which can sleep up to four people, are served by a lift located close to reception. Other facilities include free wifi throughout the hotel, ski deposit, guest ski shuttle to the slopes at Pizzalto and regular evening ‘animazione’ entertainment for younger guests.
There are 46 comfortable guest bedrooms over 4 floors and served by a lift. Standard rooms can have twin or double beds and there are also some triple and quad rooms with bunk beds. Family rooms have one double room plus a smaller room with bunk beds and a shared bathroom. Each room is equipped with TV (Italian channels only) and small fridge. Bathrooms have either bathtub or shower, wc and hairdryer. Some rooms on the first floor have balcony or terrace.
The spacious, light dining restaurant is ably looked after by the friendly staff and the chef takes great pride in his cooking. Each morning a buffet breakfast is laid out for guests to enjoy before skiing. Choices include croissants, cakes, various cereals, bread, yoghurt plus a selection of hot and cold drinks. Freshly cooked eggs are also available on request. For the evening meal there is a choice of three first and second courses plus dessert. Vegetarian options are also available.
